Adison's Dedication

I am so sorry for the lack of posts recently. We have had problems with our internet and we still don't have a "secure" line yet. Hopefully that issue will be settled soon. However, I am going to load you with several pictures today. Adison was dedicated on Sunday, January 17 at Calvary Baptist Church by Pastor Spargo (also known as Papa). Here are a few pictures from that event.

Happy 6 Months, Adison!

6 months?? Oh my! He's 1/2 way to being a year old. To everyone else my little boy is growing up fast but I see it as much faster than anyone. Little Handsome Dean has started getting up on his hands and knees, rocking back and forth. He's attempted a few crawls forward but only to plunge to the floor. He'll be crawling before we know it. Yesterday Adison was 6 months old. I didn't have time to post but I thought I'd give you all his 6 month picture this Monday morning. Great way to start your week! This month's picture isn't the usual pose, but I love it. Jon placed him in our dirty hamper last night and look at the cute photos we got from it. Enjoy!

It can't get any cuter than this...

I was going through some pictures today and I ran across this one. It's a rather old one...back from December. Jonathan and I were making Christmas cookies for the youth's party. We made sugar cookies with vanilla frosting. Daddy let Adison try some frosting. Adison wasn't quite sure what to think about it. Maybe that's why he thinks oatmeal and rice cereal taste so bad! haha

Finally...

I apologize for my lack of posting. In the recent days, Adison has kept me quite busy. He's not the calm little newborn we brought home from the hospital nearly 6 months ago. He's active, energetic, and on-the-go. He's not crawling yet, but Jon and I do believe it is in the near future. Being proactive, I've already secured all the outlets in the house with dandy little outlet covers we received at one of our baby showers. I must stay ahead because quicker than we know it, he'll be into everything. He's unable to crawl yet and he's already doing a good job of getting his hands on everything in sight. The pictures on today's post were taken last week. Just when we think he couldn't get any cuter...he does!

5 Months Pics

Here are several pictures. Some are of Adison eating cereal and some just because. He was so adorable regardless of how messy! Oh and did I mention he likes eating tags and his feet...well here's the photos to prove it!

Sorry that there is no picture. I'll have to get my husband's help with getting one on here when he has some time. The new camera is a little more complicated than our older one. Just wanted to let you all know that Adison was 5 months old yesterday. Can you believe it? He's 15 lbs 7 oz and 26 inches long!!!

Adison's New Interests:

- Observant of everything around him
- Likes to throw things off of his changing table while you're changing his diaper
- Loves to help you do anything...if it's in my hands, he will try to help me hold whatever it is
- Getting more difficult to dress because he's a wiggle worm
- Continuing to roll from his back to his tummy
- Drooling everywhere
- Stays in his jumper most of the day it seems
- Loves for mommy and daddy to read him books (though he tries to eat them most of the time)
- Starting on cereal
- Sleeping better some nights (ie: slept from 9-7 last night)
- Laughing harder (if he thinks you're funny)

For those of you who don't know this young man, this is our dear friend Chad. He introduced me to Jon just 8 months before we got married. This was Adison's first time meeting his "Uncle" Chad...they both look pretty excited about it, don't you think?

I can't believe Christmas has already come and gone. Adison has already experienced his first holidays. As you know, we were in NC for Christmas. We had a wonderful visit. Time flew by so quickly and we miss everyone so much. We did a bunch of nothing, which was very relaxing. Jon gave me a new camera for Christmas this year so I did some experimenting with the photos you'll see on this post. I love it, it's just going to take some practice. Now, if I put all the photos on here that I'd like to, you'd be looking a picture all day, so above are a few of our favorites. Hope
